VoiceFilter uses your camera and microphone only while you are actively using them. We never access them silently or in the background.

While the camera is open, VoiceFilter records and uploads footage in roughly 10-second chunks. A clear ● REC indicator is shown the whole time, and recording stops when you leave the camera.

Recordings are stored privately and uploaded in chunks so a lost connection doesn't lose everything. Access to stored recordings is restricted to keep them private.

VoiceFilter AI is powered by Google's Gemini Live API. Your voice and messages are sent to Google to generate replies and are not used to identify you. The AI only knows your current filter and whether you are recording — nothing else personal.
